Schneider and LaLonde Climb to victory at Badger Prairie Cross
It was a beautiful fall day in Verona for Badger Prairie Cross and riders were treated to climbs, climbs and then more climbs on the course which twisted through the prairie. As if the climbs weren't enough there was a tricky uphill barrier section that required a fast remount to a downhill and a 90 degree turn back up. The usual set of barriers in front of the shelter also provided good spectating. In the Elite Women's race Sam Schneider (Team Type 1) took her 2nd victory of the season in decisive fashion. She was followed in by Meghan Korol (Bob's Red Mill) and Holly Klug (Courage). In the Elite Men's field Mark LaLonde (Planet Bike) soloed in for the victory. The next steps of the podium were a huge battle but Scott McLaughlin (Sram) prevailed over Brian Conant (Pony Shop) and Kevin Klug (Courage).
