Viking Cross profits
to support Wisconsin's top riders at 2007 CX Nationals
Elite Category 1 and 2 racers
from Wisconsin interested in attending Nationals but not having
sufficient team or other financial support may apply for funds
raised at Viking Cross. Please email
Renee by
November 21 with you name, team affiliation if any,
race(s) you plan to do at Nationals, your cyclocross category and
contact information.
(These funds are intended to
assist riders who are not receiving significant funding from their
respective teams to attend nationals and who do not hold well paid
professional jobs. Please respect this and consider whether you
need the funds before applying.) Funding amounts will be $50-125
per racer dependent on total number of applicants. Those
selected will be notified by
November 26.
Over 100 racers attended Viking
Cross on Sun, Nov 11. Riders were treated to twists and turns by
barns, a ride through the tractor pull area and an unforgettable
double beach crossing. The success of this race has allowed race
promoters, John Ericsson and Renee Callaway, to offer support to
some of Wisconsin's top cross riders. Thanks to everyone
who volunteered and who came out to race.
